Born and raised in Calgary Alberta Canada and a self taught artist.
Beth is self taught artist who was born and raised in Calgary Alberta Canada. Just an hour west of Banff Alberta, the Canadian Rocky Mountains and Alberta prairies often appear in her works of art.
The beauty of the Canadian landscape also appeals to Beth.
Referencing photos taken of tavels across Canada, the East Coast Maritimes appears as themes in her work. The texture in the stone work of Old Montreal and Quebec City appear as small details.
"I start by looking at a blank canvas, and it tells me what to paint. "A Garden Path" started this way. My largest painting to date, but I literally knew the finished painting when I saw the blank canvas. Inspired by my flower garden and my own imagination the canvas and this arch leads to a wonderful summer day."
